you can convert a qcow2 image and write it to a zvol in one command using the qemu-img command

Converting proxmox vm to truenas scale vm

Copy the qcow2 file to your truenas… create a sufficiently sized zvol, probbaly sparse… then you can use qemu-img to write the qcow2 image to the zvol
