Can't sign into my NAS

It’s been while and thank you for the feedback, I ended up going with just 3 mirror drives instead of that Raid Z mode, that way each drive has the exactly same data.

I do have a question though, it seem like I can view and see some of my games I put on the NAS, but I can’t exactly play them. It seems like it might be due to the game being an executable.

Is there some way I can authorize allowing me to use executable?

When you go to Shares you can find the share in question & then edit the ACL Permissions to allow read, write, and execute permissions. I’d try to explain it better, but hopefully someone has a video on it that’d show it.

Hopefully that helps & glad you got things working.

Along with this I’ve also had issues specifically launching larger programs that use multiple exe’s as Windows does not ‘trust’ the share and warns on executable launch. Worst case I’ve had some programs outright fail to work, and other times be exceptionally slow.

You can get around this by adding the share’s IP as a local intranet site.

(In Windows) Internet Options → Security → Local Intranet → Sites → Advanced → Add the IP Address of the share
