Config file complaint following 13.3 upgrade

Iā€™m assuming this is referring to the TrueNAS config itself. Is there something I need to edit to satisfy it, or can I export and then re-import my config to have it rewritten in the new format?

Iā€™m not sure why; the message tells you itā€™s the config for syslog-ng. Iā€™d suggest filing a ticket on it and see what iX does with it.

Out of curiosity, what did you upgrade from? TrueNAS 13.0-U6.1 or something earlier and exactly what version.

I did that - see A couple of issues after installing CORE 13.3-BETA2 and NAS-130357 @ [NAS-130357] See my post report" A couple of issues after installing CORE 13.3-BETA2 " - iXsystems TrueNAS Jira (atlassian.net)
The spam I reported was fixed by the SMB updates but the syslog issue - informational only - is not (and @alecmascot 's post helps understand that).

I also got this error after upgrading 2 days ago from 13.0U6.2 to 13.3:

syslog-ng[4643]: WARNING: Configuration file format is too old, syslog-ng is running in compatibility mode. Please update it to use the syslog-ng 4.4 format at your time of convenience. No idea how important it is, probably of low importance given ā€œat your time of convenienceā€. Or would it be an issue with I side grade to Scale later on?

Seems unlikely as this is a BSD thing, not Linux.

Interestingly enough, i also saw this message pop up in my log server yesterday. I run Core 13.3-RELEASE. Any way syslog-ng can be updated through BSD?
