Curious IPs inside Unifi and other Apps

Good morning,

I wonder if anyone else has observed similar curious output by Apps. In Unifi, even though the App has an assigned IP of 198.168.x.x, the reported IP is much different - see below.

This, even though it as a FQDN, is using DHCP and even has the inform field pointed at the right IP address. Is there some weirdness going on between the App and the underlying docker container that explains this?

With Emby, it’s no different, just a different IP and subnet than UniFi

Ditto with pi-hole, yet another 172.16 subnet:

The 172.0.0.0/12 IPs are for docker networking.

Thank you, I found it confusing, but then again, I am easily confused.
