CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD UPS Service Not Working

I’m running Truenas 25.10.5 - Goldeye with a Supermicro H13SAE-MF motherboard and I recently got a CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD UPS. I set up the UPS service as below but get an error when starting service:

Error: Driver not connected

Not too sure what I’m doing wrong, would appreciate some guidance.

Can you see the UPS USB Device in the boot screen or system logs?

If not. Just unplug the USB cable, wait couple seconds, plug back in, should see 3, 4 related messages on the console.

If you don’t, bad USB cable or USB port?

you can also check with

sudo nut-scanner -U

if your truenas if your truenas sees the ups and which driver the ups requires and the output is a clearer then dmesg, see example:

I also tried on a Windows machine and it doesn’t get recognized either, so suspecting bad cable or bad USB port on UPS
