Similar question to When can we expect Docker to be updated to Version 29.1.0 - TrueNAS General - TrueNAS Community Forums: is anyone aware of plans to move beyond Docker version 29.0.4 for TN27.0? It looks like subsequent versions have had a lot of CVEs patched, but more specific to my interests*, 29.8 introduced the ability to set UMASK natively via environment values.
*I’m also open to suggestions on how to force a container to run with a specific umask when run outside of the ix-apps management ecosystem and linuxserver.io container ecosystem. Why? I add my TN account to the groups of most/every container (and it’s respective account) I create, so I can tidy things up when browsing some SMB shares, but that doesn’t help when a container misbehaves and generates 4GB of log files in a day but they all have umask 022 so I can’t just move/delete them (without SSHing in and using sudo)
