I am new to TrueNAS and after following a video that modifies both domain and hostname fields under the Network → Global Configuration settings, I was not able to replicate what the video demonstrated.
In the video, I am instructed to modify the domain field to a fuly qualified domain, such as “emaple . com” and after rebooting, the system’s hostname changes to “hostname . exapmple . com” which can then be used to access the web UI instead of the IP address. My goal is to reach TrueNAS web UI using the configured domain name, instead of the IP address. Would anyone have any guidance on what I may have missed, or point me into the right direction?
