When i try to install ubuntu desktop on the vm function
it dosent run the setup only goes into uefi interactive shell
In the shell type
fs0:
dir
cd efi
...
If fs0: does not work, try fs1: etc. in turn until you see a directory named “efi”. cd into that, look what’s inside, cd into the next lower level directory.
Eventually you will find a file named ubuntu.efi or similar or bootx64.efi.
When found, start that file by entering the name as a command.
trying fsn n = 0-10 didnt work error: ‘fsn‘ is not a valid mapping.
You did configure a CD-ROM device with the downloaded ISO as the backend image?
And you typed fs0: including the colon?
yes
`fs0:`
If an ISO image is correctly connected as a CDROM device it should be visibly as “fs0:” in the EFI shell. Sorry, out of ideas.
