faulty hard drive

Good morning,
I am new to the operation of truenas although I have been a user for several years. I have never had a problem on my server which only serves me to store videos and play them from a network drive. This morning after updating to truenas 13, I noticed two disk errors. Could you give me the steps to follow to fix these errors:

  • CRITICAL#### Device: /dev/ada8, 1 Currently unreadable (pending) sectors. (WD04)
  • CRITICAL#### Pool WD09 state is ONLINE: One or more devices has experienced an error resulting in data corruption. Applications may be affected. (ada10)

this machine runs on ten western red hard drives. they are all accessible from the local network.
Thank you for any answers you can give me.

Let’s begin with the basics:

A description of the hardware, please.
And the output of some commands, each as preformatted text[1]:

zpool status -v
camcontrol devlist
smartctl -a /dev/ada# for each relevant drive

  1. </> button on the tool bar, or paste the output between lines of three backticks
    ```
    your text here
This fault appeared just after an update of truenas to version 13. the faulty disk was not full, I made a backup, deleted the pool and re-imported the disk. The error message has since disappeared. Thank you for showing interest in my problem, this topic can be closed.
So you’re still using a potentially failing drive?
A little bit overkill for a pending sector.
And probably didn’t permanently fix the issue.
Would still help to follow @etorix ’s requests.
A bit like blowing up your car and rebuilding it because your tyre pressure light came on :wink:
Same tyre.
