Home Assistant default install fails at user creation

Hey

I am running the latest 25.10.1 community release.

I tried to install the latest Home Assistant App (2026.2.1) with default values (DB password was entered, of course). Installation completes, and I get greeted by the HA welcome screen.

However, after selecting “create my smart home”, I enter a screen where I believeI am supposed to enter a new user name. but there is no form visible to enter anything. The only button visible is inactive. I tried using tab key, zooming the page, scrolling up and down, but I find myself unable to find an input form.

Can someone confirm this behaviour?

A workaround is to switch the language in the welcome screen from German to something else, then switch language back. Then proceed to “create my smart home” and all is fine.
