How to diagnose SMB timeouts in SCALE

Hello,

I am sometimes experiencing SMB timeouts when mounting SMB shares from my TrueNAS in ownCloud and I’m wondering where and how I can see these timeouts in the audit logs (or other logs) in SCALE.

I know there are the audit logs but these are just filled with hundreds of thousands (literally) Authentication messages from all the shares I mount in ownCloud and no errors or warnings are shown there.

Do I have to activate Audit Logging specifically for every share before error and warning messages show up in the logs? I know when I create a new share that there is a checkbox “Audit Logging” in the Advanced Options (which so far I have not activated on any share) but the Log Level for the SMB Service is set to “Minimum” in the general SMB options.

Do I have to set the Log Level to something else than “Minimum” or activate “Audit Logging” for every share individually or both or am I on the completely wrong track?
