SMB Audit Logging ignoring the general Audit retention settings?

Hey there,

I’m on Scale 24.10

I’ve enabled “Audit logging” on a couple of SMB shares, and as far as I can tell, the retention policy for this isn’t handled on a “per-share” case as logging itself but rather, by the general system settings (System Settings → Advanced → Audit → Configure → Retention (in days)).

It is however, ignoring the retention (in days) of that settings (it’s keeping SMB audit logs indefinitely as far as I can tell). Is this a bug or am I missing somewhere else where this should be specified?

I believe there have been several fixes in this area since 24.10.

Can’t really upgrade to 25 at this stage. Was wondering if I’m missing something regarding this issue in 24.10 (and if it is, in fact, an issue and I’m not just being blind)
