You can configure HDD spindown. Read this thread it explains it in detail :

TL/DR: If you want to put the drives of your storage pool into a standby (spindown) state: Enable the standby for each drive in Truenas Scale’s “Drives” options. Move the system log off the pool that you want to sleep. Move the ix-applications dataset off the pool.
