Hello. Just checking interest in a really nice result if you put in a little work for your homelab or wherever you’re using Truenas.
The modules are whatever Truenas apps you’re running; a real, registered domain that can be assigned to Cloudflare to control, and Nginx Proxy Manager.
The outcome is changing all your http://192.168.1.15:31000 entries into something more pleasant like https://gizmo.froglegs.com, complete with real SSL certs despite being on your LAN and not public. You will also need to manage DNS locally. Furthermore, Heimdall is also slick for this setup.
TechnoTim and some german dude have done decent YT videos on this but I could do a writeup if there’s any interest. Slap a thumbs up on this post if this interests you.
