Immich new directory after update to the latest version

Hello
After update Immich to the latest version I lost access to my photos. I followed release info to create new storage directory

sudo mv /mnt/SAMSUNG_1TB/ix-applications/releases/immich/volumes/ix_volumes/uploads/* /mnt/SAMSUNG_1TB/Immich/data/upload/

but in the middle I got an error and since now I do cannot finish copy of my upload folder due to “destination folder is not empty”. I wanted to do backup via SMB but unfortunately I do not have access to these folder.
Now I have part of upload folder in new location and rest in old. Could you please help me with that?
Thank you in advance

This is exactly why you shouldn’t be using the community apps; they’re always making breaking changes without any notice. Just install Dockge, and install Immich on there using the official docker-compose.yml file, modified for your system’s specifics, and you won’t have trouble like this again.

Fyi.Thanks to ChatGPT I managed to create scripts to move data but idk why now I lost all space on my HDD. My upload base is around 600GB but now I have 1TB used.

Yes, but really I write this stuff for everyone else, so they don’t make the same mistake. I tried those community apps too when I first installed TN, and it was a disaster, and I’ve sworn them off, but I also want to help others avoid making the mistake I did by warning them not to use them.

Could it all be tied up in snapshots? If you have automatic snapshots enabled, and any data has moved, you’ll use double the space until the last snapshot with the old location has been deleted.
