I just installed Linkding through the TrueNAS Scale apps. The version being offered is 1.27.0…
However, when I check the project page at GitHub - sissbruecker/linkding: Self-hosted bookmark manager that is designed be to be minimal, fast, and easy to set up using Docker. , the current version is 1.36.0 which was released two weeks ago. 1.27.0 was released in April.
Anyone know whats up?
As a general rule, app entries in the TrueNAS catalog need to be updated and may not always match the latest available version upstream.
In this case, since most development energy in this area has been focused on the migration to docker applications in 24.10 it’s not surprising that some images on 24.04 may be out of date. The version available in 24.10 is 1.36.0 fwiw.
OK, I did a refresh of the catalog, but it make take some time to propagnate. I’m used to seeing a day or two delay between app update for Audiobookshelf and the app updating in TrueNAS Charts. It just is a bit strange to see an app not having a update since April.
I am running Dragonfish-24.04.2.3, so again, that may be an issue. Considering that Electric Eel is at RC2 status now, it should not be long until we get an official release. The question is… when?
