Maximum number of concurrent session to 10 for all accounts and/or account types limit

Hello,
I am using a TrueNAS Scale 25.04.1.
I have a problem with this statement in the release notes to version 25.4.2:

  • STIG enforces the limit of three consecutive invalid login attempts by a user in 15 minutes, and limits the maximum number of concurrent session to 10 for all accounts and/or account types ([NAS-127189]

The problem is that I need to have more than 10 concurrent connections to ftp users, and this is the purpose of the server I installed. So this forces me to not installing the update. I am OK, to limit the number of concurrent connections to administrative accounts, but for ftp users this is not OK. Or if I have SMB connections, this means that I can’t have more than 10 concurrent connections to SMB share!!!???
Maybe first of all I have to ask if this is valid for the free community version as the release note is under TrueNAS Enterprise header.
I hope this is a mistake or something I didnd’ understood well. Please help me with this as otherwise I can’t to install security and updates in the future.

Or maybe this feature is just making the default number of concurrent connections to be no more than 10 but later I can increase this number?
Thanks.

My guess is that is 10 concurrent connections per account. I can’t see it being that only 10 accounts can access the server at any one time. If so that could very well mean the end to TrueNAS.

Considering you can’t even enable the STIG mode (opt-in enterprise-only feature), you have nothing really to worry about.

Well it’s not clear to me. Even so, it still is not OK for me. As I need more than 10 concurrent connections per ftp users.

Thanks!
