The Storj project is fun idea in theory, but it has been on ICO life support for years, is technically broken, basics not working and shady potentially tax evading node payouts in crypto.
At the same time, they have almost no real customer, that is why you could store the whole Storj network on one single TrueNAS system.
But out pure interest, is TrueNAS using the native integration of Storj which would actually download the updates directly from Storj nodes?
Or does the download happen over HTTPs from their S3 endpoints?
Either way, both explain the horrible download speed we experience.
