Hi Everyone,
I am running ElectricEel-24.10.2.4 on a Dell t320 server.
I have a 500GB Samsung 2.5" SSD that homes my 3 windows 11 pro VMs that I use for various reasons.
I installed an nvme adapter to pcie, and its recognized without issues. I want to migrate my 3 windows 11 vms to this newly installed nvme but I am running into issues.
Figured I could use the replication feature and once completed, point it to my new drive. But when I go to edit the VM and choose to add a new disk, I do not see my nvme VMs on the list - just the old/current ones still on my 2.5" ssd.
I’ve tried asking ChatGPT but seemed to go in circles, and there are a few posts I found but I am not too confident with CLI unless somoene here can assist
So far, I believe it has to do with zvol vs dataset. I created a new pool for my nvme and a dataset called “Virtual Machines”. Then used replication to move my VMs to it.
If I cant figure it out, I might just reinstall my VMs and move all the data over - I would prefer to keep them as-is though.
Thank you in advance,
