Mobile RTX 2080 not available to any containers

Hi all. First forum post of my life, because I am ripping my hair out.

I can’t get my GPU to be seen by Plex, Portainer (and therefore the Plex instance I tried standing up in Portainer), etc. I am running TrueNAS-SCALE-24.10.1 on my old gaming laptop, an Acer Predator PH717-71. I know it is not a server, I don’t have one and don’t have the money.

I recently switched from Unraid and had plex detecting my gpu as well as Ollama, etc.

I checked the box for “Install Nvidia Drivers” in Apps>Settings and restarted my TrueNAS machine. nvidia-smi returns the below:

I select “Use this gpu” when deploying the Plex container, and yet I am greeted with only “Auto” as an option for hardware transcoding.

I verified that it isn’t “crashing out” based on some other similar forum and Reddit posts I saw in which that was their issue. If anyone has any pointers for me, I’d be eternally grateful. Thanks and sorry for being a noob.
