Problem/Justification
When making a bug report from within TrueNAS SCALE you are only presented wiht a text box and no message saying that markdown is supported. Using a text only box is very difficult to see how what you have written will appear to the developers.
I am use to using GitHub which is a lot easier to use that JIRA, I can type my stuff out and then check for any layout mistakes
Impact
The quality of bug reports will increase and be easier to read.
I suspect that at the minute a lot of bug reports, are just blobs of text
Proposed solution
add a note saying that markdown is supported
add a preview window where the markdown is parsed.
User Story
I did a bug report and when I checked it at JIRA found the layout to be all messed up. What is worse I cannot edit the bug report to correct the layout. If I can edit it, the link is hidden amongst all of the useless junk on the issue page.
Great news! This feature request, combined with some other requests related to this existing feature, has gathered enough community interest to be transferred to our internal roadmap for detailed scoping and assessment.
