Moving Docker Apps from one pool to another

HI TrueNas People,

I’m currently running Electric Eel (24.10 )and would like to move all my Docker apps to another Faster Pool of Drives, what’s the best way to do that? it looks like in 24.10 there’s no “Migrate to another pool option in docker” is there a simple(ish) way to do it? all the data in the Docker containers need to remain untouched ( all configs etc ) so i’d really like to avoid having to recreate them all in the new Pool.

If there are options in Fangtooth I’d happily update to that first. just wanting to make sure i don’t look any configs.

HOWTO: Copy the hidden ix-apps dataset from one pool to another

Sometimes you would like to move your apps from one pool to another… There is currently no way to do this in the GUI. The below recipe worked for me. (replace “originalpool” and “otherpool” with the original pool’s name, and the new pools name, respectively) unset your app pool check your ix-apps datasets with sudo zfs list | grep ix-apps if you have any ix-apps datasets on your newpool, then delete it with sudo zfs destroy -r newpool/ix-apps (note, this assumes that you do NOT want the …

Thanks that worked a treat, but it’s unclear how to remove/delete the Old ix-apps location.

Plus it doesn’t allow you to update the apps that have been moved. So not really a valid solution.
