My Apps stuck in Pending

My application is stuck in pending. I cannot install any App. I tried to unset and reset the pool without making any progress. Please help!

Please post more details on what app or apps you have and your TrueNAS setup, version, etc.

Thanks, Buddy. I have resolved the problem. It turns out, that I have to assign the DNS of 8.8.8.8 to my ethernet connection to communicate with the GitHub server. After changing my DNS setting, the Application begins to work!!!

What was your name server configured as before you changed it? And were you seeing any other network issues or just the apps?

I don’t understand the first part of your question.

I was assuming you altered the DNS global network settings in TrueNAS, but maybe you made that change on your router?

I made the DNS change in TrueNAS itself. No other device in my network was changed. Before the DNS was changed, I could not communicate with any other server outside of my network from TrueNAS. I used the latest TrueNAS Scale version.

Understood, we do recommend that in docs as an option for home users to allow internet access from TrueNAS

Just a question: can I later use a second DNS server in addition to 8.8.8.8? Will it break anything if I set up a second local DNS server and point my TrueNAS to the second DNS server?

Multiple nameservers should not be an issue
