NAS dataset now needs a program to open it

For several years I have had a NAS folder or dataset mounted on my linux desktop, where a double click opened it so I could view the data within it.
Now , more recently, when I mount the said dataset on my desktop, I have to choose a program to open it. I choose ‘Files’, it opens ok, but I have to keep doing that every time I want to view the data.

When I look at the properties / permissions of the mounted dataset, it says that the permissions of smb could not be determined
I have the permissions of the dataset to User: rob, Group: nogroup

I have just updated TrueNAS to ElectricEel-24.10.2.2, but it is still the same situation.

You are missing a bit of data such as the previous TrueNAS version that you were running where this happened. Also, linux? Which one?

Why do you think this is a TrueNAS problem? I made that assumption since you didn’t tell us anything about your OS.

While reading this, it sounds like your OS, not TrueNAS. Hopefully it is a quick solution regardless.
