Hello all,
First post. I’m new to TrueNAS, and not new to Linux but I am very, very, very far from an expert. I can follow directions, but as we all know there are A LOT of bad directions out there on the web. Anyway.
What I want to do is set up a VM on TrueNAS running Debian 12, and be able to mount an NFS share in the VM to a share on the NAS.
I am almost there. I set up the VM. I changed the network on TrueNAS to a bridge so both TrueNAS and the VM can use it. I set up an NFS share to the best of my ability (which isn’t much). On the VM, I can mount the NFS share as a drive, but I can’t write to it. I open up nano, and it says directory isn’t writable.
I’m almost to my goal. I just need to make this NFS share writable. I am very unfamiliar with NFS shares since I’ve been using SMB shares for the last few decades. Can someone assist? Thanks.
