did you have to reconfigure you MetaData? places and such? or did that all import in?
Well how about you put in a little effort and run all the commands that I did, and see what is produced, and then post them. You can’t expect the community to help you if all you do is just say, “This doesn’t work”.
Yes, I will need to reconfigure all the host mounts and reimport my entire library.
I did do the commands you entered…the only part I haven’t done is the last step where you installed a new instance. I have put in the effort so not sure where you are getting that from?
What you are quoting is me saying that the GPU isn’t being seen…I run the nvidia-smi command, and just says not found…
Okay, so then why are you posting this thead? I seems like you have a completely different issue on your hands. It would be best if you stared your own thread and posted the output of all the commands that I have run.
no we are having the same issues. I did notice there was one step I missed in your post I think the picture was small and I missed it. In the App settings “install Nvidia drivers” did that… and now I have the ability to shows “use this GPU” and shows my GTX card…but when I select it I am getting

after a reboot it did show that “use this GPU” check…I didn’t do anything it just works
in Plex it just shows the HW transcoder as Auto, no GPU like you showed.
So I do think I might be in the same boat with fresh install…
after you did the remapping of your drives and library…was your Metadata still there? (like your places, and what you watched and such) or did all that reset?
So, Followed all the steps still nothing…
So I removed and readded and boom…works.

and just FYI…as long as you point your directories correctly, all my metadata came back and am now HW transcoding
