I am on ElectricEel-24.10-RC.2 & I am virtualizing Qbittorrent.

From my Env: I see I have the following group info

  • PUID=3003
  • PGID=3001
    Those credentials lead to qbittorr (UID: 3003) (GID: 3001)
    I added qbittorr to the apps group
    On my Plex directory & all the child directories, I have the following permissions
  • Owner@=apps (Full Control)
  • Group@=apps (Full Control)
  • everyone@ (Full Control)
  • User=qbittorr (Full Control)

The issue I’m having is I’m running into an error on qbittorent if I load a torrent.
Acting as if it can’t read/write from the torrent.
Is there anything I’m missing?

It was working, but I modified the dataset to have the following settings

  • ACL Type=SMB/NFSv4
  • ACL Mode=Passthrough
    Not sure if that was the cause or what?
    There is no error log in the Qbit folder

So your qbit download folder…

the permissions on it should match the torrent client

are you installing with compose? or in the apps section?

I actually went ahead & remade qbittorrent & then made a media folder for my shows & movies.
I made the original dataset when I first started & had no clue what I was doing, so I just made a new dataset called media & put the correct perms there & it works now.

I think I just messed something up with the old dataset because the perms & install folder were all the same.
