Hi all,
Planning to use
3x WD HDD 12TB with 256 MB cache
1x WD HDD 12TB with 512 MB cache
in RAIDZ-2 pool
Will this have an impact on TrueNAS?
Any specific consideration/configuration I should made?
Thank you!

As long sa they are CMR drives - its not an issue.
Great!, CMR drives is what I have WD Gold Enterprise Class (Gold color)
Good. Mind that Wd Gold (rebranded HGST Ultrastar) probably have 3.3V Power Disable.
Just out of curiosity… what’s the point of setting up a 4-wide RAIDZ2 vdev?
Wouldn’t a pair of mirrors give you roughly the same usable capacity, but with noticeably better IOPS and resilver performance?
I get that the only real upside is you can lose any two disks (while with mirrors, losing both in the same pair would kill the pool), but is that small edge really worth the performance tradeoff — given that 4-wide RAIDZ is basically the edge case where RAIDZ2 just barely starts to make sense?
It depends what’s more important to you. Resilience or Performance.
Also although you’re correct mirrors would be faster in some scenarios they could be scenarios that are never experienced so it really depends on use case.
If I had to recommend a config to someone who had four drives I’ve never met before and wasn’t allowed to understand what they plan to do with TrueNAS I’d suggest a four disk Z2.
The data is important to me to be available and not corrupted, so in my case, I decided to use RAIDZ2 for peace of mind.
