Hello, in Truenas 25.10, when creating or editing an SMB share, there is no way to enable the recycle bin in the other options (there is no checkbox), there isn’t the purpose “no preset”.
Has anyone else encountered this issue?
Maybe use the Feedback or Report a Bug in the TrueNAS GUI or Report A Bug at the top right of the forum. I looked at a VM and I didn’t see Options either, like in 25.04 version. I’m not sure if it was moved or missing.
I tried to send a feedback, but there is a bug that blocks the process. I will try to open a direct request on jira
I received a response from the Truenas team: the new window for SMB shares no longer has the option to enable the recycle bin, so from 25.10 onwards it will no longer be available. I am trying to open a ticket to request the restoration of this feature. Perhaps if others contribute to the request, it will be taken into consideration.
