I have a general inquiry regarding my live pool and a problematic cache drive. I have uploaded my screenshot of the topology and I already placed a spare drive into the cache drive vdev.
My question is if I remove this cache drive will it cause any issues to my instance. I have the option on the GUI to remove but I wanted to proceed with caution and see if there were any additional steps I needed to take before I removed it from the pool.
Quoting for emphasis–@nas1, it’s highly unlikely you had any real use for L2ARC in the first place. Removing it will not harm your pool, and it might even improve performance.
