Replicating a replicated dataset - bad idea?

Hope someone can help me understand. I have two truenas’s and replace a set of datasets from one to the other via pull. I wanted to the further replicate on the destination to another pool on that same truenas. I have se the replication job but I am a bit confused how the snapshots will work here. The replication task has to have one but how will it manage snapshotting a dataset that already has snapshots managed by a task on another machine? Perhap this is a bad idea? I thought that I maybe wouldn’t need another snapshot task as the source comes with snapshots (but no task) from the source machine. If I just create the replication task it adds in a snapshot task at the same time as the replication is due to run.

For a dataset, replications can only go in one direction. As long as no “destination” has changes made to it other than from a received replication itself, it should be fine.

The moment you start “using” a destination dataset, you will break incremental replications.
