I figured they closed the request to stop more votes from being counted. Don’t want the embarrassing optics of the most-voted active request to return something they took away.
A little late, then, if that was their goal–it’s already the most-voted-for request by nearly a 50% margin.
But it’s obvious they’ve never cared about optics before (“obvious” because of how bad theirs consistently are), so why now?
I voted, I am also not upgrading. There needs to be a thumbs down option in this forum.
I feel like The new truenas version 10 is like windows 11. no one really wants to upgrade to it, and are considering linux because of how bad win 11 is.

I see a lot of people not happy on this topic. However, I fully agree with you. The GUI was just a system to schedule, and nothing more.
If we want to add a useful smart gui, we need to have something which shows the results and gives some alerts on some key elements (temperature, realocated blocks, etc…).
I am not a dev, and will not be able to help, but want to share my full support for this more constructive comment ![]()
