Security risk: stay on 25.04.2.6 or upgrade but use "unauthorised" Nvidia drivers?

Thanks for the replies; however, other information has come to light which means I shan’t be upgrading at all!

I’ll continue with the current release and I shall take steps to try to make sure I remain secure.
