SMB Service not active after update

Hello all

Small issue.

I have 2 truenas scale installation in my home. One is a vm on proxmox (my main server) the other is a bare metal installation.
I keep my solution updated and upgraded as recommended

Since the last 2 (successful on both servers) updates and /or upgrade, I see that once the server reboots during the update process, the SMB service becomes unavailable each time.
I restart it and there is no issue. I can shutdown and restart the server and the SMB service is started.

I do think that during update or upgrade, the reboot process should start the smb service or for that matter the update process should bot interfere with the scale configuration.

If this a truenas issue or is there something i missed during my last rebuild?

You are leaving out details. What version of TrueNAS Scale did you start with and what did you upgrade to. What do you mean by ā€˜unavailableā€™? Is it just off and not started? Not started and you canā€™t turn on the service manually?

Currently the ver is 24.10.0.2

I started with the latest version available last february when i migrated from core to scale ( i do not remember the version)

The smnb service shows stopped after the reboot. Then i click on the 3 dots and start again the service. Ther NFS share is not affected

In the smb config there is no box to have the service start.

Prior to this summer all was working fine

Thereā€™s a services form that has checkboxes ā€œenableā€ for whether services start on boot.

Sorry i checked each share advanced options and all share are enabled How ever no start on boot check seen

I looked at the smb config options all are enabled

OOPs that was turned off I hoe is my bad because i do not remember playing with it Thanks for uour response and patience
