I’d like to change my server’s single boot drive to a RAID array for redundancy.
My server’s motherboard supports up to 5 SATA devices in RAID 1, 5, or 10. (0 too, but that’s not redundant)
Can my current drive be imaged, then restored to an array without re-installing from scratch?
I would also appreciate advice on whether RAID 1, 5, or 10 would be best from a recovery perspective.

You can attach a second drive to create a mirror right in TrueNAS. You should never user your motherboard’s “RAID” function.
