transferring a dataset from freenas to truenas

Good day! I have FreeNAS-11.1-U1, and also have TrueNAS OS Version:25.04.0. When replicating a data set from FreeNAS to TrueNAS, the Active Directory access rights are not transferred. Why might this be?

Unrelated? but it may be related to AD. Have you had updates to AD setup?

Update for 25.04.2 should be this week dealing with AD, but no updates to FreeNAS-11.1-U1 if the Microsoft AD updates are the problem.

Could be your IDMAP range. I have a feeling the default ranged changed from the FreeNAS days. Compare the two systems and see if they differ. If so you can change the newer system to match the range of the older one.

AD Windows Server 2003 was connected to freenas 11, later updated to Windows Server 2019. After that, a new server was assembled on Truenas and connected to AD Windows Server 2019. After replicating the data set from freenas to truenas, domain access rights disappeared. And not for all files and directories. Could this be related to ACL?

It could be related to the Microsoft Security Update. Did you check to see if that was applied to your Windows Server 2019. See the linked info from my post. Did you rule that out?

The update is not installed. I will install it today. I will write the result. Thank you!

The update for 25.04 is not released yet, but it will propably be released today.
