True Nas wont identify my Realtek NIC

Hi there, first time building a NAS so forgive me if I miss anything obvious.

Trying to configure my network right after loading into TrueNAS and the system isnt binding to the NIC.

I’ve read somewhere that TrueNAS can have some trouble reading Realtek NIC’s but im just wondering if I can solve this without going and buying an Intel NIC.

System Specs:

  • Gigabyte B760M GAMING AC DDR4 GEN5
  • Intel Core i3-12100
  • Corsair DDR4 32GB LPX

Please let me know if im missing any other information. Thanks

A workaround has been posted here , but Is unsupported… so i would still consider to buy a dedicated Intel nic as long term solution

Welcome to BSD/Linux and Realtek……

While Realtek has gotten better support under Linux, going Intel for 1Gb is a more reliable option.
