Looks like the code is actually doing this explicitly. Why is this flag True by default instead of False to match avahi’s default behavior? No it didn’t use that in our avahi. We explicitly have disallowed that since TrueNAS 13 days. There was a small window with a BETA in which we accidentally allowed it as a bug and later fixed. C.f. disallow_other_stacks in avahi IIRC the parameter correctly.

Ah that would explain why it was working in the beta build. But why is the TrueNAS default different from avahi’s default config ?
