Over the past year, we have seen a growing number of users move from running a single TrueNAS system to managing multiple deployments. Home labs expanded. Secondary systems became replication targets. Some users began overseeing systems across different locations.
TrueNAS Connect was introduced as a way to provide centralized visibility for those environments, without changing how TrueNAS itself operates. TrueNAS systems continue to run fully offline and independently. Connect is an optional service that provides a cloud-hosted view and management layer for users who want it.
Tier Overview
Foundation (Free)
TrueNAS Connect Foundation is included at no cost. It provides a basic, centralized way to install, view and manage up to two TrueNAS systems through Connect. It does not replace the local TrueNAS UI, and it is not required to operate or maintain a TrueNAS installation.
Plus
TrueNAS Connect Plus is intended for users managing multiple systems who want a consolidated view instead of logging into each system individually. Connect Plus permanently supports up to three TrueNAS systems under a single subscription, with added capabilities such as:

Single sign-on across systems

Centralized inventory and custom enclosure visibility

Historical stats and reporting (up to 90 days)

Expanded alerting options

Application/VM visibility and control

Cross-system replication management (in active development)
This tier is designed to reduce context switching and provide longer-term visibility into system behavior, rather than replacing existing workflows or local access - as well as offer additional features that might normally have been relegated to the Enterprise product.
Early Connector pricing
Based on community feedback, pricing for Connect Plus is per subscription rather than per system. The standard price is USD$60 per year, for up to three systems.
For a limited time, we are offering an Early Connector price of $30 for the first year of Connect Plus. This pricing is available through May 31, 2026. The three-system limit for Plus is permanent - only the discounted price is time-limited.

From there, you can link an existing TrueNAS system or deploy a new one using the guided WebInstall flow, then select the Connect tier that matches your setup. Foundation remains available at no cost, and local system management remains unchanged whether Connect is enabled or not.
