TrueNAS CORE 13.3-BETA2 is Now Available

I don’t know how knowing the MAC address of a device on my LAN could be used against me, but I’m no IT Security expert so, perhaps out of abundance of caution, I have re-generated my VM MAC address.

TrueNAS 13.3 has been planned for release in the week of August 12.

This thread can close down now. We can resume applause, salty banter and technical discussions on the new thread.

Testing of the nightly is very useful. I’ll see if we can recommend a specific nightly version.

We would like to test the fix for the VNC if possible before the release. Latest nightly is from July 22, which doesn’t have the fix yet.

Yes, VNC is included. Nightly to look for is being pushed today.

Fixed! Color is distorted, but it works. Any fixes for the color incoming? I’m assuming not.

@pmh Am I supposed to be able to connect using a regular VNC client?

If so, how?

I tried the IP:port that it shows on the browser to no avail.

@victor check VM > Devices > VNC > Set a bind address and check the port.

I managed to use TightVNC to connect to using those.

And yes, web VNC works with swapped colors, and works fine with a VNC client!

Are you guys able to authenticate samba users on TrueNAS-13.3-MASTER-202408050733? It’s broken for me.

No it looks broken. Are you filling a bug report?

We will have a look at this one. Please do log a bug.

Will do.

Had to do this on mobile. It was very hard.

I have already reverted my boot environment back to a working version, so I didn’t catch the actual error report that it generated.
