Similar problem with Microsemi/PMC-Sierra with their NV-series RAM cards - at least Radian provides the backup-to and restore-from NAND features automatically.
Just now seeing this this clusty. Just so you know I have Replaced 2 RMS 200 with 40 x 20mm thick noctua fans. You may have issues with pcie clearance but mine is at the end of the board for both. I also purchased 25mm m3 screws for mounting.

I added a 10mm thick fan and it misses clearence by about 3mm ( the initial fans are 7mm thick ).
Used the low rpm resistor that came with the fan kit and after a bit of pain in the ass to solder everything, I wound up with a whisper quiet board that heats up to 46c when under load.
