@kris raised NAS-129256 but how do I add a private attachment?
Edit: never mind, just seen the comment on the ticket!

Nice and easy upgrade, forgot I started it and came back two hours later to find everything up and running.
Thanks to iX for their hard work as usual.
Yes - I went and found it and it contains just 1 item: NAS-129150 Failed to configure kubernetes cluster for Applications: Timed out waiting 60 seconds for br0 to come up.
I fully accept that this is the only issue formally logged that is not yet fixed in 24.04.1, however I am far less sanguine that all the other issues with 24.04.0 that have been discussed in these forums have been fixed, perhaps because they were never logged formally as bugs.
But it does now appear from comments in this thread that the 24.04.1 release has introduced some other issues too.
Given the comment in the release notes āAdditional related development is expected in the upcoming 24.10 major version of TrueNAS SCALEā I am now starting to wonder (as a āConservativeā user) whether I should skip 24.04 altogether (and skip 24.04.2) and wait for 24.10.1 or 24.10.2 in about a yearās timeā¦
I think it would be reasonable to wait until a 24.1.x release until most bugs are ironed out, it worked well for people with previous releases.
Cause you can bet 24.10.0 will have other new bugs altogether which will be yet another blocker.
I believe.itnwas only jellyfin that was impacted before but could be wrong
Some kernels have issues with the intel computer 24.09.28717.12 see known issues indicated here. Comments on the issue seem to indicate 6.6.27 is also an issue
So the kernel update.is likely the issue but just a guess since I havenāt put my arc in yet nor have I checked the runtime currently installed
Env may or may not work if someone wants to test them. In the known issues section.of the above release link
But hopefully gives someone a place to look to troubleshoot shoot
Glad the new release is out, sorry to hear about the problems. I will run it up shortly as well to see what it does or doesnāt do.
With jailmaker 1.5.0, I had no automatic startup of a jail with bridge networking, after upgrading to 24.04.1, same issue as with the Tailscale jail with host networking; manually starting them after boot worked.
With jailmaker 2.0.0, all jails started automatically after upgrading another server to 24.04.1.
Is this a good thing or a bug? Depends on if you have the jails set startup=1 or not I guess?
You got a point - my bad. All my jails are actually set to startup=1, so even if such a bug exists, I wouldnāt notice itā¦
Anyway, jailmaker 2.0.0 seems to have fixed something related to this startup issue, but I am not positively sure yet. Iāll try to do some additional testing later tonight.
Follow-up: tried one more server, and it seems that 2.0.0 has indeed fixed the jail startup issue. Iām leaving my workaround in place for now, just in case (no harm trying to start a jail that is already running)
I just checked the query and it has an additional item in the filter which has been accidently saved - apologies! Getting it fixed now so the full list of issues will shown.
Removing description seemed to work. Thanks!
coming from TrueNAS-SCALE-23.10.2
whats the feelingā¦ should I pull the trigger ?
you guys got more experience.
see some issues, then some ppl not having had any problems.
run a couple of TrueNAS containers/Apps and TrueChart based apps, like Unifi and Plex.

If you havenāt already try clearing the browser cache. If you have are there any errors in the Browser console?
If youāre running truecharts apps you have to migrate them to their storage backend since dragonfish removed the buildin openebs implementation form iX and truecharts uses openebs for their pvc storage. They have a very good migration guide and script which made the migration pretty painless for me. Took me like 2 hours on a saturday to migrate 30 apps. Your apps will still function, but wont be able to install new apps without the truecharts openebs app installed and configured.
clearing browser cache worked for one system. the other I had to manually configure the dashboard.
glad to see you say the apps will continue, working as isā¦ just blocking me from installing newā¦ which means i can do this in the next couple of days, when family not using apps.

There will be a hotpatch to 24.024.1.1 released today that fixes the two major issues found:
Description on network breaks Kubernetes - NAS 129150
Apps menu fails for a read-only admin - NAS 129187
Just tried to upgrade my install from 24.04.0 to 24.04.1 to get the fixes for the ZFS ARC problems and Iām getting this error now. No matter what I tried I could not get the app services to start. My br0 is up and running just fine as that is my primary interface for traffic and all other services and virtualization are working just fine. I feel back to my 24.04.0 and app services started up just fine. It seems something is just not quite baked right with 24.04.1.
Update to 24.04.1.1 - it has literally just gone up as an update, has the fix for this.
