TrueNAS Scale 3 SSDs with ~ 7000h / 6 TBW all SMART failed?!

Hello,

I’ve 3 Samsung 870 EVO 1 TB RAIDZ-1 with all failed SMART-Tests. They only have 7000h and 1,6TBW usage. Can that be true?

They’ve been failing for quite some time–around 2000 hours, it looks like.

Yes, but all three SSDs more or less at the same time? I’ve never seen something like that in my whole life.

There were issues with the firmware that caused early death. I would start from there.

Perhaps cause for a warranty claim.

In Australia, if there were firmware issues causing the problem, you most only could get the claim approved even outside of warranty.
