Hi. I’ve encountered the following problem: after about a day of running the server, it freezes. I can’t access it either via the web or SSH. I saw messages on the monitor, but I don’t really understand them. I’m attaching a log of what I saw. It all started at Jan 21, 11:52:59 AM. After rebooting, the server works for a day, and then it starts all over again. For now, I can only offer a photo, as I can’t upload a txt file.
Posting your complete specs will help (i can only deduce your motherboard a B450M-DS3H Gigabye), on this trace i honestly don’t see anything obvious.
Have you tested system stability outside Truenas? Eg with a complete memtest cicle
Without the full list of hardware it’s a guessing game, but my best guess is that you’re using a first or second gen ryzen and did not set it up with the recommended bios settings, which are:
Disable erp-ready, global c-states and amd cool & quiet on older bios versions and on newer bios version setting power supply idle control to typical idle current from low idle current.
With first and second gen ryzen there’s a bug that cuts power to certain components when the cpu is mostly idle and it fails to wake them up again, which leads to the freezing.
Hello, yes. Please forgive me, I was in a hurry. I just found these settings. And I have a first-generation Ryzen 1700. I installed them, I’ll keep an eye on them. Thanks.
