It’s been a busy Friday.
On today’s episode of TrueNAS Tech Talk (T3), Kris Moore (SVP of Engineering for TrueNAS) and Chris Peredun (aka “HoneyBadger”) spot a nearly ten-year-old FreeNAS installation, talk about one of the major challenges with installing TrueNAS as a VM, and share some of the news about new Apps and coming improvements to the framework in preparation for even more Apps to be added.
Feel free to submit questions and inquiries to t3@truenas.com or post feedback directly in this thread.

The video came out interlaced on my browser.
No big deal. Nice show this week, again.
Can I buy an iX PC instead of a Dell or what not ?, Why I hear ?, Ok. I wanna run proxmox, or XCP-ng, or what not, and why not buy a iX system ?, now, iX makes specialized/niche hardware for TrueNAS. What models could be used for general consumption ?.
…and, what are the shortcomings of NAS hardware at running hypervisors ?
Thanks
hmm, this thread is not for my question but I’ve got you both here and is something that would be good to know. For me at least.
I don’t wanna buy Dell on a next customer

Looks like it was a mismatched project setting in the exporter, and it ended up doing an awkward 3:2 pulldown for the whole video. Yuck.
