TrueNAS won't boot up

Hi all

Running TrueNAS Scale 25.10.4 on a Proxmox VM. Things have been running relatively smoothly recently after some initial heat and firmware issues which I think I’m on top of now.

I’ve had Emby as an app on TrueNAS for a while. Last night I added Immich as an app though I’m unsure it’s related to my problem.

Today I’ve ran into a problem where TrueNAS will not boot up.

I get this in the VM console:

Any ideas?

Post your full hardware setup along with how you have Proxmox and TrueNAS set up. It may give others some clues.

Just guessing at issue without additional info, you want Proxmox and TrueNAS set up as a production setup.

A simple enough request that will take me quite some time to complete. I started on it and will complete it at some point, but future Chris will have to finish that off.

I restored last night’s back-up, and it seems to be working fine now.

Can’t do that with non-ECC ram. Hopefully the price of ram will come down in the future around the time I’m entertained the next build.

Upgrade from 25.10.3.1 to 25.10.4 results in boot errors of the VM in Proxmox (with SATA passthrough). Hardware: Ugreen DXP4800 plus NAS at home with non-ECC RAM.

I was referring to the article, HBA pass through and the blacklisting of devices from Proxmox touching them and causing corruption since Proxmox can use ZFS.
