In planning to upgrade existing SATA drives to large SAS drives.
Will it work to replace SATA breakout cable with SAS SFF-8482. Since SAS cable is compatible with SATA drives.
Next step is replace each drive and let it rebuild.
Or create a new pool with new SAS drives and copy over.
I understand there is a risk of a drive failing during rebuild.
