Validation Error

i tried to enable the SMB to access from windowz and i get this… but in the shell i see data… omg i had given up hope…

Click on EDIT for the SMB share and verify the path is valid. Uppercase, lowercase, spaces, all those things are important in Linux.

Do you have a pool called “VMData” ? If you are in the shell and in the directory where the files are located, type pwd to see the full path.

What is output of df -T /mnt/VMData/vmroot?

Its ok i got it… im using MC to copy the data from one pool to another that has SMB working then im going to copy to another TrueNas Server i have and make sure i setup offsite backups for 13TB if Data im not going to be in thi situation ever again and as they say in IT if your data is not written in three places its nowhere…

didnt realise MC was in TrueNas Scale…

I want to thank everyone for their help this has been a learning curce for me and i wont for get this… also i will be bouncing this truenas server and then be looking for advice on setup… using the mirrors as suggested.

Did you import this pool through our UI or through shell? If it’s a totally unexpected pool (not imported the proper way), then we won’t allow you to share it out.
