WARNING Memory Asserted Uncorrectable ECC (@DIMMB2(CPU1)) - What to do?

Hello all! It’s been long since I posted anything on this forum or it’s predecessor. Mostly that’s because my nose has been running fine since basically forever that is, up until now. Yesterday it had an unscheduled reboot. I think it me have been you to a power outage combined with the UPS not doing jobb.

Unfortunately, this seems to have triggered an uncorrectable ECC error. As far as I can tell from the IPMI event log this is the only ECC error that has been logged on my server. Is there anything special I should do about it? Any future precaution i should take? (aside from backup) I’m currently in the process of investigating what might be wrong with the UPS. My best case at the moment is an old battery.

My System

FreeNAS-13.0-Stable
MOBO: Supermicro X11SSL-CF with
CPU: Intel Core i3-6100
RAM 216GB Crucial DDR4 ECC 2133MHz (CT2K16G4WFD8213)
8
WD Red WD40EFRX 64MB 4TB in RAIDZ2
BOOT: 90GB Corsair SSD (Likley dead)
CASE: Fractal design node 804
PSU:EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G2
UPS:
CyberPower Adaptive Sinewave CP1500EPFCLCD

Not particularly.

I would personally simply keep an eye on it in case it happens again, and if its on the same memory bank, replace it.
