That you don’t, apparently, but it’s public information. Many of the threads discussing the changes to virtualization with 25.10 had pointed to Kris’ statements to that effect. We don’t know when it’s going to happen, but Kris has said Incus is going away entirely.

As you are all aware, Classic Virtualization is returning in Fangtooth 25.04.2.
Our QA testing is ongoing and is expected to be complete within 2 weeks.
In the meantime, any developers and tester are welcome to test with the Nightly version available here . in the TrueNAS -scale-fangtooth-nightly folder.
Production systems SHOULD NOT use the nightly.
With the return of Classic Virtualization, VMs in the Instances section will still start/stop/restart, but you cannot create “new” ones in there…
No - absolutely NOT appropriate advice though these things are subjective.
Since I don’t have any virtualisation, I think 24.04.1 is probably ready for production use in my own case especially if I wanted to use LXCs.
If I did have EE VMs then I think that it wouldn’t be ready for production use for anyone even less conservative users.
As I stated in the same comment, I think a single grid for 25.04 is incredibly simplistic and misleading.
